What is Karota?

Karota Consulting is inspired by the carrot. We've seen carrot seed distributions in South Sudan transform nutrition and livelihoods for some of the world's poorest people. And carrots are a good metaphor for aid and development work: They grow from a tiny seed, forming deep roots and blossoming from the ground up. Carrots are a resilient crop which can flourish even in harsh environments. They're also efficient vegetables, providing immense nutritional benefits relative to the time and inputs required to cultivate them. Plus, karota is similar to the Finnish word "korottaa", meaning "to raise up." And that's what we aim to do.
